Mrs. Frances Louise Boyd, 85, passed away on March 17, 2009, in Austin. She was born on Dec. 16, 1923, to J. Carl and Louise Goebel Schubert in Lockhart.

Frances was a lifelong resident of Lockhart and belonged to several clubs and organizations such as: the American Legion Auxiliary, the Irving Club, and several bridge clubs. Frances was an active member of the Firs

t Presbyterian Church, having served as a church elder and a member of the Women’s Circle as well as serving on various committees.

She worked for Farmers Home Administration as an administrative assistant for 32 years before her retirement in 1989.

Frances was preceded in death by her husbands: Jesse Etheredge, in 2000; Ray Bozarth, Sr., in 1987; and Jack Boyd, in 2007; her parents; and her brother, Alton Schubert.

She is survived by her three children: Nell Sanchez and husband, James, of Austin; Betsy McKean and husband, Ronnie, of New Braunfels; and Marty Bozarth and wife, Susan, of Houston; four grandchildren: Kelly Simpson and husband, Chris, Kathy Westbrook and husband, Corey, Trey Bozarth and wife, Amanda, and Travis Bozarth; and one great-grandchild.

Friends called at Eeds Funeral Home on Thursday, March 19, from 9 a.m. – 8 p.m., where the family was present from 6 – 8 p.m. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 20, 2009, at the First Presbyterian Church with Reverend Dr. Terry Bozarth officiating and Reverend Dr. Fred Abney assisting. Interment followed at Lockhart City Cemetery.

Serving as the pallbearers were: Chris Simpson, Travis Bozarth, Corey Westbrook, Douglas Braeuer, Trey Bozarth and Bob Brom.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the First Presbyterian Church of Lockhart and the American Cancer Society in honor of Frances.
