Glen Edward Grantham of Dale, Texas, passed away on Sept. 26, 2012, at the age of 74. He was born on May 7, 1938, in McNeal, Texas, to Willie Zelmer and Minnie Pearl Hermes Grantham.

His parents; two sisters, Ruby Perry and Anne Grantham; two brothers, Wayne and Bob Grantham; and two sons, Christopher Wayne Gilliam and Glen S. Grantham preceded him in death.

He is survive

d by his wife, Judy Grantham; two sons, Reggie Gilliam and wife, Lori, of Seguin, and Keaton Garner and wife, Monica, of Japan; five daughters: Glenda Daniels, of Gonzales, Angela Gilliam-Gibson, of Dale, Barbara Moeller, of Hallettsville, Sharlet Watts and husband, Mitchell, of Dale, and Dana Turner and husband, James, of Dale; one daughter-in-law, Missy Grantham, of San Antonio; four brothers: George Grantham and wife, JoAnn, of Luling, Johnny Grantham and wife, Sherron, of Houston, Pete Grantham and wife, Lynda, of Yorktown and Billy Grantham, of Luling; two sisters, Bessie McKinney, of Nixon, and Gladys Wood and husband, Wilbur, of Luling; 21 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family received friends at McCurdy Funeral Home, from 5 – 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 28, 2012, at the Central Baptist Church in Luling. Interment followed at Clearfork Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers were Wilbur Wood, Jr., Wayne Grantham, II, Bill Grantham, Edward Perry, Gary Grantham, Wade Gordon, Barney Perry and Dale Gordon.
