Isaac Michael Nohra, 72, of Dale,Texas died Jan. 2, 2016 at St. David’s Hospital, Austin, Texas.
Isaac was born Nov.10, 1943 in Austin,Texas to Isaac and Marie (Joseph) Nohra.
He is survived by his wife, Tracy L. Nohra and daughter, Megan L. Nohra of, Dale; stepson, Logan Bock, of Houston, and four beloved step-grandchildren: Logan Jr., Luke, Nick and Amber Bock.

o survived by his brother, Larry Nohra and wife, Margie; sister Lola Larivee and husband, Joe; sister, Doris Joseph and husband, Robert and their daughters, Dee Dee Sharp and Paula Craig, of Austin; sister, Matilda Attal, of Austin; cousin, Joe Tannos and wife, Mary Frances, of League City; cousins: Joe Joseph and wife, Becky, of Austin, Salem Joseph, of Austin, and his son, Salem, Jr., and wife Misty; Anthony Joseph and wife, Suzanne, and their sisters, Joanne Ryan and husband, Bob, of Austin, and Mary Fisher and husband, Jerry, of Brownwood, Texas.
Isaac was beloved by many; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Isaac is a life long resident of Caldwell County. He graduated from Lockhart High School in 1962, lettering in Football.
He graduated in May of 1968 from Southwest Texas State University with a B.B.A
At a young age, Isaac was active in the retail grocery business “Tom Joseph Grocery,” operated by his aunt, Mary Tannos and grandparents, Lola and Tom Joseph, who arrived in Caldwell County from Hakel, Lebanon in 1909 and were long time merchants.
With much enthusiasm, he purchased a tract of land in Lockhart in 1984 and built a neighborhood commercial shopping complex “Park Plaza Shopping Center” also opening “Park Plaza Drive-In Grocery and Gas,” operating it till 1995 when he sold his business to retire on his much loved Cattle Ranch in Dale, Texas.
Isaac enjoyed his family, friends, and many trips to Las Vegas. His word was his bond in business and life.
Isaac is preceded in death by his parents, Isaac Nohra, Sr. and Marie Joseph, of Austin; brother; Philip Nohra, of Luling, Texas; aunt, Mary Tannos of Dale, Texas; aunt, Nora E. Joseph, of Austin, Texas; and grandparents, Tom and Lola Joseph, of Lockhart.
Memorial Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lockhart, Texas, on Saturday, Jan. 23, 2016 at 10 a.m., with Rev. George Joseph Jr. Officiating. Isaac’s remains will be returned home to his ranch.
