Jack Clifford Anderson, of Lockhart, passed away on Jan. 26, 2015.
Jack was born Nov. 14, 1922, in Dallas, Texas. He attended school in Dallas and then high school in Hinsdale, Ill. After graduation from high school he attended the University of Wisconsin and studied agriculture. Jack farmed in Round Rock, Texas and later operated a large ranch in western Montana. He built and

opened Jack Anderson Motors, the Ford dealership, in Elgin, Texas in 1955 and later sold the business in 1971. Afterwards he then went into real estate investments and built modular horse barns throughout Texas.
He is admired for his faith, love for his family, wisdom and sense of humor. His heritage to his children wasn’t words or possessions but an unspoken treasure, the treasure of his example as a man and a father.
Jack is survived by his daughter Helen Anderson Detert, of St. Ignatius, Mont., and his son, Jack W. Anderson, of Lockhart, Texas; five very special grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; his brother, Lawrence Anderson, of Lyndale, Texas; his sister, Dorothy Osborn, of Culver, Ind.; his devoted niece, Kathryn Huber and husband, Jim, of Austin, Texas; and many more nieces and nephews he adored.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Katherine Anderson, and sisters Edyth Gunther and Marie Axline. We are grateful for his ever faithful and dedicated caretaker of 30 years, Lucio (Luther) Martinez.
