Our beloved son and friend, Jacob Ross Parish, of Harwood, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2007. He was born Nov. 28, 1987 in Lufkin, Texas to Joe and Kathy Parish.
Jacob was preceded in death by his grandparents, Rev. John Bryan, George (Bo) Lee and Granny Parish.
He is survived by his beloved parents, Joe and Kathy Parish of Harwood. He i

s also survived by his loving grandmothers, Ada Lee, of Diboll, Texas, and Elizabeth Bryan, of Garrison, Texas.
Jacob was blessed with wonderful aunts and uncles who loved him very much: Butch and Charolette Parish; Dianne and Kirk Ulmer; Gina and Jim Bo Wright; Bobby Lee; 0llie Nutter; Shirley and Joe Self; Barbara and Marcus Peterson; John and Teresa Bryan; and Ruthie and Jerry Williard. Jacob is survived by many loving friends and two special friends, Ralph and Patti Williams who he dearly loved.
Jacob was a loving, devoted son to Joe and Kathy. Jacob accepted the Lord at a young age and lived his life displaying God”s love to all he met. He loved the Lord and was such a glowing light of Christ”s love. Jacob was active at First Lockhart Baptist and became a member of the church”s Youth Group upon his move to Lockhart. Jacob believed in encouraging others and was always willing to help in any way. He will be remembered for the care and compassion he showed to others and for the loving hugs he so freely gave to everyone. He loved unconditionally and was so very loved in return.
Jacob was a proud 2007 graduate of Lockhart High School and was attending Austin Community College. He was a student advisor for FFA, played soccer and football, and won many awards for his livestock. Jacob loved to hunt and fish with his best friend, his dad, and shared their “stories” with anyone who had time to listen. Jacob never met a stranger and always had the time to talk and listen.
The best way to remember Jacob is to think of the many ways knowing him blessed your life. His prayer for all who live on is for them to come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior and spend eternity with him in Heaven.
A celebration of Jacob”s life was held at First Lockhart Baptist Church on Monday, Sept. 17, 2007 at 3:30 p.m. with the Reverend Gary Rodgers officiating. Interment followed at Delhi Cemetery in Delhi, Texas.
