James Henry Seffer Jr., 85, passed away peacefully at the Central Texas Medical Center on Sept. 6, 20Isiah Thomas Galvan07. James was born on March 10, 1922 in Peoria, Ill., to James Henry and Lillian Court Seffer.
He worked in construction as a carpenter all his life. James had an active career in the Army Air Corp during World War II. He was awarded several honors du

ring his service such as the: Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal with Four Oak Leaf Clusters, and the EAME Campaign Medal with three Bronze Service Stars.
James was a member of the Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Lockhart.
He is survived by his two daughters, Gail Richardson of Topeka, Kan., and Amy Smith of San Marcos; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Family and friends honored James with a visitation on Friday, Sept. 7, 2007 at the Eeds Funeral Home Chapel from 6 – 8 p.m. Graveside services were held on Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007 at 1 p.m. at the Lockhart City Cemetery with the Reverend Tom Bruns officiating.
