Colt Miranda, 16, of Lockhart, Texas, beloved son, brother, and friend went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2007. He was born in Austin, Texas on April 2, 1991, to Johnny and Gwynda Miranda.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, John B. Miranda and Harold Horton.
Colt is survived by his parents, Johnny and Gwynda Miranda of Lockhart; sister and

special friend, Shelby Miranda of Lockhart; grandmothers, Margaret Miranda of Georgetown and Tommie Horton of Lockhart. He was also blessed with many other friends and family members.
Colt was a junior at Lockhart High School, where he was a proud member of the Varsity Soccer team. He was an active member of the student council participating in many activities, including serving as Team Development Co-Chair for Relay for Life. Colt spent many of his weekends officiating for the Lockhart Youth Soccer Association. He was an involved member of the PromiseLand youth group of San Marcos.
A celebration of Colt”s life was held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2007 at the Lockhart High School Gymnasium with Pastor Dan Armstrong and Pastor Robin Steele officiating. Interment followed at Lockhart City Cemetery, Lockhart, Texas.
Pallbearers were Cameron Peters, Matthew Carneiro, Jason Williams, Mauricio Gutierrez, Coach Ramez Antoun and Wesley Zotz. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Lockhart High School Soccer Team.
Memorial contributions may be made at American National Bank to the John Colton Miranda Memorial Fund.
