Kevin Wayne Braeutigam, of Lockhart, passed away on Feb. 2, 2013, at the age of 44. He was born on Jan. 4, 1969, in Austin, Texas, to Gerald Wayne and Virginia Jacqueline (Whitehead) Braeutigam.

Kevin was a godly man who loved his wife, children, family and church family very much. He was full of life and had a fervent passion to tell others about Jesus. He served on the chu

rch council and taught Sunday School at Abiding Love Lutheran Church in Austin at the age of 14. He has also served in many areas and has been an important part of Mineral Springs Baptist Church in Lockhart.

Kevin was always ready to lend a helping hand. He was a percussionist in the Crockett High School Band, and played drums at church. Kevin was an Eagle Scout, and enjoyed camping and fishing. He worked in the food service industry for many years and has worked for West Motors in Gonzales for the last 10 years.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Walter and Cora Braeutigam and Joe Whitehead. He is survived by his loving wife, Laura; his parents; his grandmother, Harriet Whitehead; two daughters, Kaitlyn and Lacey; and sister, Danette Roehrig and husband, Keith of Cedar Park, Texas.

Family received friends at McCurdy Funeral Home, from 6 – 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Fevb. 6, 2013, at McCurdy Funeral Home in Lockhart, with the Rev. Kyle Bishop officiating. Interment to follow at Mineral Springs Cemetery.
