Linda Ann Springfield Morgan, 67, of Lockhart, passed away in Austin, on November 25, 2008. Linda was born on Sept. 29, 1941 to Russell Peyton and Mary Elizabeth Gray Kelley in Clarksville, Texas.

Linda worked as a cosmetologist before she retired. She lived in Lockhart for more than 30 years, and served on various clubs and worked for several organizations as a fest

ival coordinator. Her civic activities included the Friends of the Dr. Eugene Clark Library, and the 31-Club with her close friends.

Linda married Crawford Morgan in Lockhart on July 12, 2008.

She was preceded in death by parents and her previous husband of 17 years, Robert Paul Springfield.

She is survived by her husband, Crawford; two daughters, Melinda Ann Schulze, and husband, Ronny, and Melissa Kay Swan and boyfriend, Buster Shirley, all of Lockhart; grandchildren, Jason Schulze and fiancée, Kandy Tolley of Lockhart, and Bryttne Swan and Kristofer Swan, of Magnolia; and many beloved friends.

A visitation with family and friends was held at Eeds Funeral Home from 6 – 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 28. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. at First Lockhart Baptist Church on Saturday, Nov. 29, 2008, with guest speaker Paul Gomez. Interment followed at the Lockhart City Cemetery.

Honored to serve as pallbearers were: Jason Schulze, Kristofer Swan, Pedie Morgan, Bill Roberts, Rudy Shroeder Johnny Springfield and Jerry Voigt.
Serving as honorary pallbearers were: Tommy Taylor, “Country Memories Members,” Larry Taylor, Jim Fielder, Todd Blomerth, Donald Jeffrey, Maness Johnston, Mike Gideon, Danny Law, Greg Frey and Larry Taylor.
