Mrs. Manuela Ursula Cisneros Rodriguez, born Oct. 21, 1910, has been called home to our Savior and Lord God. She left this earth on Dec. 31, 2009.

She lived to the age of 99 years and had a full and glorious life, full of love with her family always surrounding her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Monico and Dolores Cisneros; spouses, Agustin Perales

and Fidencio Rodriguez; sisters Ysaura Cisneros Rivera and Lorenza Cisneros Rodriguez; daughter Socorro R. Moya; and son Jesus Perales.

Manuela is survived by her son, Elias Perales, of Lockhart; daughters RoseMarie Lockwood (Richard) of Canyon Lake, and Dolores Campos, of Austin; her brother, Judge Monico Louis Cisneros, of Lockhart; 13 beloved grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

The family would like to extend a special note of appreciation to Theresa Castaneda Vera, her friend and companion, and in particular to her nurses Jamye Baker (her Angel) and Jody Stratton with Austin Grace Hospice for the gentle, loving and compassionate care they provided during Mom’s last months.

Serving as pallbearers were nephews Brijido Rivera, Jr., Abel C. Rodriguez, and Luis Albert Cisneros; grandsons, Juan Elias Perales, Richard Matthew Moya and Joseph Campos, III; and son-in-law, Richard G. Moya. Honorary pallbearers were Santiago “Jimmy” Mireles Jr., Paul Edward Pietrzyk, Bonifacio D. Martinez and her son-in-law, Richard Lockwood.

Recitation of the rosary was held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 3, 2010. Funeral mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, also at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial followed in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
