Mariano “J.R.” Villegas III, beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and resident of San Marcos, Texas, was called to his eternal rest to be with our Heavenly Father on Nov. 6, 2005 at the age of 43 years.
He is survived by his loving wife of four years, Maria “Mya” Villegas; sons Jon Erik Villegas, Jason Keith Villegas and wife Claudia, and Omar Mata Villegas; and hi

s daughter Sandra Villegas, all of San Marcos.
He is also survived by his brothers, Fabian Villegas and wife Delia, Daniel Villegas and wife Esther, all of San Marcos, and Carlos Villegas of Kyle; sisters, Corina Villegas and Frank Salazar of San Marcos, Irma V. Valdez and Hector of Lockhart, Gracie Villegas and David Benavides of Kyle, and Kristina V. Chavarria of San Marcos, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Mariano, Jr. and Esperanza Villegas.
J.R. was well-loved by his wife, children, brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews, as well as our community. He will be dearly missed, but not forgotten.
Recitation of rosary will be Thursday, Nov. 10 at 7:30 p.m. at the Los Angeles Funeral Home. Mass of Christian burial will be Friday morning at 10 a.m. at St. John”s Catholic Church with Rev. Justin Udomah officiating. Interment will follow in Memory Lawn Memorial Park in Martindale, Texas. Serving as pallbearers will be Adam Silva, Abel Silva, David Banda, Johnny Garza, Louis Garza, and Steven Hernandez. Honorary Pallbearers are Bryan Gomez, Kevin S. DeLeon, Hector Valdez, Jr. J. Michael Lopez, Joseph T. Lopez and Matthew R. Villegas.
Arrangements entrusted to the Villasenor Family at the Los Angeles Funeral Home, 300 Cheatham Street in San Marcos.
