MaryAnn Elsie Schulle VanHorn Cheatham passed away from this earth on Nov. 14, 2014, at the age of 84 in Marble Falls, Texas after a short battle with cancer. She was born on July 25, 1930, in Maxwell, Texas. She attended the Blanco Star School and San Marcos High School. She was one of eleven children. MaryAnn lived a long, full, happy life. She enjoyed spending time with her

family and friends, bowling, going to the lake, traveling, and watching and attending games of her favorite baseball team, the Houston Astros. One accomplishment she was most proud of in her life was working as a Nursing Home Administrator at the Golden Age Home in Lockhart, Texas.

MaryAnn always said she was so fortunate to have been married to two really great men. She married the late Leonard VanHorn in 1950 and the late Clarence Cheatham in 1977. She loved them both dearly. She was also preceded in death by eight siblings.

She is survived by her sons, Greg VanHorn and his wife, Cathy, of Giddings, Texas and Clarence Cheatham, Jr., and his wife, Allison, of Houston, Texas; grandchildren: Staci Langley and her husband, Todd, of Marble Falls, Texas, Mallory Cheatham, of Houston, Texas, and Sarah Cheatham, of San Marcos, Texas; great-grandchildren Kamri, Coda, Kiley and Kenzi Langley; and brothers, Marvin Schulle, of Lockhart, Texas, and Henry Lee Schulle of Houston, Texas.

Funeral services for MaryAnn Cheatham were scheduled at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2014, at Ebenezer Lutheran Church in Maxwell, Texas with Pastor Craig Sagebiel officiating. Visitation was held on Monday, Nov. 17, 2014, from 6 – 8 p.m. at McCurdy Funeral Home in Lockhart, Texas.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers a donation be made in MaryAnn”s honor to the American Cancer Society.
