Media Pearl Stueve, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend went to be with our Lord on July 9, 2009 at her home in The Woodlands, Texas.

She was born to Mary and Dock Lewis on Dec. 15, 1916, in Chicora, Miss.
Media lived in Austin, Texas, for 28 years, where she retired from the Internal Revenue Service.

She was preceded in d

eath by her parents; her oldest sister, Martell Bramlet; and her brother, Russell Lewis.

Media is survived by her husband of 71 years, Bernard “Ben” Arthur Stueve; her daughter, Suzanne Parks and husband, Daniel S. Parks, of The Woodlands; her son, Scott Andrew Stueve and wife, Judith Stueve, of Smithville, Texas; grandchildren: Victoria Parks Fisler and husband, David Fisler, of The Woodlands, Tracey Parks Mosconi and husband, Louis Mosconi, of Aliso Viejo, Calif., Kevin Sterling Parks, of Denton, Texas, and Nathan Stueve of Portland, Ore.; great-grandchildren: Garret Fisler, Meredith Fisler and Christian Mosconi; her sisters, Betty Franks and Mary Roundtree; and many nieces and nephews.

Media enjoyed living life to the fullest despite her handicaps with rheumatoid arthritis. Her wish for all those whose life she touched was to be at peace and to love one another. Her family will always treasure the memories of her as a supportive, giving, and caring person and we will forever miss her presence in our daily lives.

A memorial mass will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, on Saturday, July 18, 2009, at 2 p.m. After the service, a special celebration of her life will beheld for family and friends in the Parish Hall.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions in Media’s name to the Arthritis Foundation, 3120 Southwest Freeway, Houston, Texas 77098.
