Rogers Ray Brite
Rogers Ray Brite, of Lockhart, passed away on Sept. 11, 2011, at the age of 66. He was born on Sept. 27, 1944, in Galveston, Texas, to Therlo John and Castoria (Hemphill) Brite.
He is survived by his wife, Leona (Canady) Brite; one son, Philip Brite and wife, Tammy; one daughter, Lisa Turner and husband, Roland; two bothers, Willie N. Brite and Gus Brite; and five grandchild
ren.
Family planned to receive friends and family at McCurdy Funeral Home, from 6 – 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 15, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 16, 2011, at St. Marks United Methodist, with the Rev. Foster Roberts officiating.
Interment will follow at Dale Memorial Cemetery in Dale.

I am praying for you all and want you to know that Uncle Rogers is in a better place now. He is not suffering and he is the angel assigned to watch over each of us. Hold on to the fond memories of him and the many laughter we all shared with him. Know that he is safe in God’s arm now. Aunt Janie, know that I love you very much as well as Phillip and Lisa. Lena not to your own understanding but in all your ways acknowledge God and he will direct your pathway.
