Ruby Alexander

Ruby Jewel Alexander died peacefully at home at the age of 91. She was born on Jan. 28, 1919, to Ernest and Maggie Ann Witter.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Herman Alexander; daughter, Shirley Chapman; and son, Bill Alexander.

She is survived by her grandsons, Neil and Sandra Chapman and Chris and Kim Chapman; and great-grandchildren Kayl

a Chapman and Tara Chapman. Ruby will be greatly missed by her surviving siblings, daughter in law, Ann Alexander, and sisters, Bernice Chambliss and Margaret Goode.

Ruby loved Christmas and would start preparing for it in August. Many cakes and pies had to be baked and delivered, gifts bought and wrapped for everyone. Christmas Eve was her big night for the big dinner and gift exchange by all. She will be missed this Christmas Eve.

Visitation will be held on Dec. 9, 2010, from 5 – 7 p.m. in the McCurdy Memorial Chapel. Graveside services will be held on Dec. 10, 2010, at 2 p.m. Bunton Cemetery.
