Russell Campbell

Russell Campbell, 72, of Lockhart passed away peacefully on March 10, 2008.
Russell was born on March 5, 1936, to John and Carrie Jackson Thad in Washington, N.C. He was a Navy veteran and a member of both the American Legion and Salvation Army. He worked as a motel manager before his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, William Henry Cam

pbell; and sister, Maggie Lyndora Muse.
Russell is survived by his sister, Edna Louise Barr; and brother, Wayne Kohler, both of Lockhart; nephews, Roy Preston Toler and Albert Ray Toler of West Palm Beach , Fla.;niece, Sue Ann Muse of North Carolina; special friend, Granny Ella Collins; and many more friends and relatives.
A visitation was held on Thursday, March 13 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the Eeds Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services were held at the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas, on Friday, March 14, 2008, beginning at 2 p.m., with the Reverend Joe Walts officiating. Interment followed.
