Stephen DuWayne Moulton, 64, born on March 30, 1950, in Minneapolis, Minn., passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2014. He attended Pillsbury Bible College in Owatonna, Minn., where he met and “bought” is wife, Betty Jean Simons (and to this day, he’d swear it was the best ten bucks he ever spent!). Betty clarifies that the $10 was the cost of their ma

rriage license. They cherished 42 wonderful years together.

Steve and his bride moved to Austin, Texas, in September 1974 where they created and operated several businesses together. He loved God and worshipped Him in Spirit and in Truth (John 4:24). He also enjoyed making people smile and laugh with his unique sense of humor.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents, James and Dee Moulton.  He is survived by his wife, Betty; his sisters Debbie Moulton, Pam Moulton and Cindy Haggerty and her husband, John; his nieces, Jennifer and Trina; and other close friends and extended family members to include his assumed-adopted son Kenneth “Ben” Pierce.

Steve’s memorial service will take place at House of God Church, located at 123 Wright Dr. in Cedar Creek, Texas, (78612) on Sunday, June 22, 2014 at 2 p.m.

All arrangements with Eeds Funeral Home, 408 S. Main St., Lockhart, Texas 78644. (512) 398-2343.
