William “Jack” Harman, 81, of Dale, Texas, passed away Thursday, Jan. 13 in San Marcos, Texas. He was born on Aug. 31, 1923 in Cook County, Texas to William Roy Harman and Bertha Lee (Chapman) Harman.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Mamie Ruth Harman of Dale; sons, Doug and wife Margaret Harman of Marshall and Greg Harman of D

ecatur, Ga.; daughter, Juanita Zepeda and husband Enrique of Austin; grandchildren, John Steele and wife Bonnie, Andrea Zepeda, Justin Harman, Jalana Harman Baker, Tony and Adam Harman; great-grandchildren, Summer Steele, Morgan Baker and Derrik Baker.
In his life, he was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Lockhart and the Masonic Lodge. He married June 15, 1947 in Kermit, Texas and for 35 years, was in the drilling and exploration worldwide.
Visitation was held on Sunday, Jan. 16 at McCurdy Funeral Home in Lockhart. Services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, Jan. 17at McCurdy Memorial Chapel. Internment followed at Bateman Cemetery with a Masonic graveside service, Rev. Greg Harman officiated.
