Ophelia Nunez Campos, 79, of Littlefield, Texas, passed away Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014, in Lubbock. She was born Nov. 16, 1934, in Prairie Lea, Texas, to Juan and Angelita Nunez
Ophelia moved to Littlefield in 1965 from Fentress, Texas. She married Guadalupe Campos on June 19, 1964 in Luling Texas.

She was a wonderful cook, and especially loved baking sweets.

Her family an

d her church played big roles in her life; she was a member at Temple of Adoration Church in Littlefield and lead the seniors group there as well. She liked to pass the time playing word finds, which she called her homework, and watching novellas on Spanish TV.

She is survived by her two daughters, Mary Zamora and her husband, Homer, and Gloria Rodriguez and husband, Manuel, all of Lubbock; six grandchildren; and her sister Bernalda Nunez, of Luling,Texas.

Waiting for her in Heaven was her husband Guadalupe, who passed away June 1, 1999; her parents; and her three brothers.
