To the People of Caldwell County:

The last three years as your Precinct One Commissioner has been a real honor. I have learned so much about our county and state, but most important to me, is all the new relationships I have made. People that I would not have had the pleasure of meeting was brought into my life through this work. I want to thank Tom Bonn for recomme

nding me to Judge Wright and the Wright family for making the appointment. I appreciate all the support and mutual respect that Joe, Neto, Fred and Tom gave me while on the court.

I also would like to thank the employees of Caldwell County, especially Marie Cavanaugh, Ron Heggemeier and Dwight Jeffrey for their expertise. I have learned that being an elected official takes many sacrifices, not just on the individual, but those around them as well. I could not have been able to accept this opportunity without the support of my wife, Rachelle, and my business partners in Austin.

Caldwell County is fortunate to have such a rich heritage and a bright future. I am confident that the work the Commissioners Court and staff has done the last few years has prepared us well for opportunities that lay ahead. I want to also publicly congratulate Alfredo Munoz for winning the election for the seat. Alfredo and I have already met once and we will continue to meet to ensure a smooth transition.

Next Monday will be my last meeting on the court, and I leave with mixed emotions. I will miss greatly working for the county, but look forward to spending more time with my family and business.

Thanks to many of you for allowing me to serve.

John Cyrier

Caldwell County Commissioner

Precinct 1

Thanks for a very respectful concession. I have no idea who you are or what you do, but I was told you represented me. I appreciate that.

Now, let’s get down to business.

The street light at the intersection of 142 (San Antonio St) and the new SH 130 should stay “BLINKING YELLOW” for traffic moving between Lockhart and San Marcos (or Hwy 80).

    Thanks, Dave
