GRANT ENGINEERING SERVICES PUBLIC NOTICE

The City of Martindale is soliciting proposals from a qualified engineer/engineering firm (registered to practice in the State of Texas) to prepare all preliminary and final design plans and specifications, and to conduct all necessary interim and final inspections required by the City for implementation of the Texas

Community Development Block Grant Program (TxCDBG).

 

Please submit three (3) copies of your proposal of services , a statement of qualifications , resumes of key personnel , references and a list of jobs performed under this or similar programs to the City Administrator”s Office, City of Martindale, 409 Main Street, Martindale, Texas 78655.

 

Proposals must be received by the City no later than 4:00 p.m. on October 27, 2014 to be considered. The City of Martindale reserves the right to negotiate with any and all engineers/engineering firms that submit proposals , per the Texas Professional Services Procurement Act and the Uniform Grant and Contract Management Standards .

NOTICE OF PERMIT APPLICATION TO

RE-EQUIP AN

EXISTING WELL FOR

INDUSTRIAL SUPPLY USE

Services

Fortress Environmental Services has submitted an application for a permit to the Gonzales County Underground Water Conservation District (GCUWCD) to re-equip an existing well for industrial supply use. The proposed industrial supply well is located approximately 2 miles south of the City of Waelder at 311 FM 2814 in Gonzales County. Fortress Environmental Services proposes to produce approximately 50 acre feet of groundwater per year at an average rate of 31 gallons per minute. The well is completed in the Sparta Aquifer.

 

The GCUWCD Rules in effect at the time of this permit application submittal are the March 16, 2010 Rules. Permit notice and hearing procedures are included in Rule 24. Copies of the GCUWCD”s March 16, 2010 rules are available at the GCUWCD office located at 920 Saint Joseph Street, Room 129, Gonzales, Texas 78629 or online at the GCUWCD website   www.gcuwcd.org .The GCUWCD phone   number is   830-672-1047.

 

Interested persons may provide written comments to the GCUWCD on the proposed industrial supply well permit application. Written comments must be filed within thirty (30) days of the date of publication of this notice and in accordance with Rule 24 of the rules of the GCUWCD. Comments should be submitted to the GCUWCD”s General Manager at 920 Saint     Joseph,   Room 129, P.O. Box 1919,   Gonzales, Texas 78629.

 

If no comments are received by the end of the 30-day comment period, a public hearing may not be required and the Board may act on the permit application.
