NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The City of Lockhart Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at 7:00 P.M. in the Glosserman Room at City Hall, 308 West San Antonio Street, Lockhart, Texas, to receive public comments regarding a proposed ordinance amending Chapter

64 “Zoning”, Section 64-203 “Nonresidential Appearance Standards”, of the Lockhart Code of Ordinances, to clarify the intended application of certain provisions by: 1) substituting the words “exterior wall” for the existing word “façade”; 2) substituting the word “abutting” for the existing word “adjacent”;

3) providing an alternative calculation for the area of landscaping needed to receive credit for the bonus feature listed in Section 64-203(6)(k); and, 4) other substantive or non-substantive changes in wording throughout Section 64-203 as may be deemed appropriate.

 

The City of Lockhart City Council will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday,

May 21, 2013, at 7:30 PM in the Glosserman Room at City Hall, 308 West San Antonio Street, Lockhart, Texas, to consider this zoning text amendment, public comments, and the recommendation of the Planning and Zoning Commission.

 

All interested persons wishing to state their support or opposition may do so at either of these public hearings; or they may submit a written statement to the City Planner or his designee for presentation to the Planning and Zoning Commission and/or City Council before the time the public hearing begins.  Additional information is available from the City Planner at the telephone number and e-mail address listed below, or in person at the Planning Department in City Hall.

On October 3, 2007, K202EA, Lockhart, Texas, was granted a license by the Federal Communications Commission to serve the public interest as a public trustee until August 1, 2013.  Our license will expire on August 1, 2013.  We have filed an application for license renewal with the FCC.  A copy of this application is available for public inspection during our regular business hours.  It contains information concerning this station’s performance during the last six years.   Individuals who wish to advise the FCC of facts relating to our renewal application and to whether this station has operated in the public interest should file comments and petitions with the Commission by July 1, 2013.  Further information concerning the Commission’s broadcast license renewal process is available at  2424 South Boulevard, Houston, Texas, or may be obtained from the FCC, Washington, D.C. 20554.
