NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The City of Lockhart Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, August 28, 2013, at 7:00 P.M. in the lower level of City Hall, 308 West San Antonio Street, Lockhart, Texas, to receive public input regarding the following:

 

ZC-13-05.  A

request by City of Lockhart for a Zoning Change from IH Industrial Heavy District to CHB Commercial Heavy Business District for two tracts totaling 9.072 acres in Ester Berry Survey, Abstract No. 1, located at 2021 and 2061 South Colorado Street (US 183 South).

 

All interested persons owning property within 200 feet of this property wishing to state their support or opposition may do so at this Public Hearing; or they may submit a written statement to the City Planner or his designee for presentation to the Planning and Zoning Commission at or before the time the Public Hearing begins.

 

In the event that property owners should desire to protest the action of the Planning and Zoning Commission, they must: (1) file their written protest with the City Secretary on or before five days prior to the Public Hearing before the City Council; and, (2) the written protest must be signed and acknowledged by the owners of at least 20 percent of the land included in the proposed change, or by owners of at least 20 percent of the land area within a 200-foot radius of the boundary of the proposed change.  To be a valid protest, both conditions (1) and (2) above must be met or the petition will be rejected.

 

The City of Lockhart City Council will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, September 3, 2013, 7:30 PM in the lower level of City Hall, 308 W. San Antonio, Lockhart, Texas, to consider this zoning change request, the recommendation of the Planning and Zoning Commission, and valid protests if any.

COUNTY DEPOSITORY

Caldwell County is accepting applications from qualified financial institutions to serve as County Depository for Caldwell County for a period of four (4) years beginning October 1, 2013. Application forms may be obtained at the County Auditor”s Office at the Caldwell County Courthouse, 110 S. Main St., Rm 301, Lockhart, Texas. For further information please contact Larry E. Roberson, County Auditor, at 512-398-1801. Applications will be accepted on or before September 6, 2013 at the County Auditor”s

PUBLIC BID

The City of Lockhart is receiving bids until 11 am, Thursday, August 15, 2013, at City Hall, 308 W San Antonio St, Lockhart, Texas 78644, for maintenance preparation and hot mix overlay of approximately 8,000 square yards of existing roads and parking areas within City Park. Bids submitted must include all supervision, labor, equipment, and materials. Successful bidder must provide proof of workers compensation and general liability insurance naming the City of Lockhart as an additional insured.

Bids not received by the time and date specified will be returned unopened.

 

Bid package for this maintenance project can be picked up at City Hall during normal business hours. Questions may be directed to Vance Rodgers at 512-398-3461.

 

The City of Lockhart reserves the right to reject any and all bids.

Caldwell County will be soliciting and accepting proposals for “Invitation for Bids # 00011 Building Restoration, Repair, and Painting of Main Office of Caldwell County Tax Assessor-Collector” for labor, equipment, and materials to complete specified work on Tax Assessor-Collector office at 100 E. Market Street, Lockhart Texas.  Proposals are due on or before 2:30 PM, 22nd , August, 2013 to Marie Cavanagh with Caldwell County Judge’s office at 110 S. Main St., 2nd Floor, Lockhart, Texas 78644.  Bid specifications may be obtained from the Caldwell County website: www.co.caldwell.tx.us.
