NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The City of Lockhart Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, September 10, 2014, at 7:00 P.M. in the lower level of City Hall, 308 West San Antonio Street, Lockhart, Texas, to receive public input regarding the following:

SUP-14-04. A request by Bill Coleman on behalf of Lockhart ISD for a Specific Use Permit to allow a Medium Profile Sign on 7.030 acres in the Byrd Lockhart League, Abstract No. 17, zoned PI Public and Institutional District and located at 710 Flores Street (FM 672). Medium profile signs are between six and 20 feet high. The proposed sign is a replacement for an existing sign that the school would like to replace with an eight-foot tall sign that is 24 square feet in size.

SUP-14-05. A request by Clyde Sommerlatte on behalf of Grace Lutheran Church for a Specific Use Permit to allow a Private Pre-School on Lot 1, Grace Lutheran Subdivision, zoned PI Public and Institutional District and located at 828 Fir Lane. The existing building is proposed to be replaced with a new and larger building.

All interested persons owning property within 200 feet of these properties who wish to state their support or opposition may do so at this Public Hearing; or they may submit a written statement to the City Planner or his designee for presentation to the Planning and Zoning Commission at or before the time the Public Hearing begins.

 

Should any person be aggrieved by the Commission’s action, a request may be submitted in writing for an appeal to City Council. Such request must be submitted to the Zoning Administrator (City Planner) within ten calendar days of the date of the Commission’s action.

The City of Uhland will hold a meeting at 5:30PM on September 8, 2014 at City Hall, 15 North Old Spanish Trail, Uhland, TX to consider adopting a proposed tax rate for tax year 2014. The proposed tax rate is 0.206000 per $100 of value.

 

The proposed tax rate would increase total taxes in City of Uhland by 7.966457 percent.

The Caldwell County Unit Road System is seeking bids for the period beginning October 1st, 2014 and terminating September 30th, 2015. The following bid items are Aggregate, Asphalt, Materials, Flexible Base, Fuel (Regular Unleaded/No.2 Diesel – Low Sulfur), Oil and Lubricants.

SMALL TAXING UNIT NOTICE

The Caldwell County Emergency Services District No. 2 will hold a meeting at 7:00 p.m. on September 11, 2014 at the Maxwell Volunteer Fire Department Station, 9655 Highway 142, Maxwell, Texas 78656 to consider adopting a proposed tax rate for tax year 2014. The propsed tax rate is $0.10 per $100 of value. The proposed tax rate would increase total taxes in Caldwell Emergency Services District No. 2 by 2.2494%.
