The City of Lockhart, Texas is considering implementing a wastewater improvements project that will benefit the targeted areas on: N Church Street, Locust St., N. Blanco St., Cedar St., Kate St., Apple St., Perez St., and Alex St. The wastewater improvements project is a CDBG project under the Texas Community Development Block Grant Program for non-entitlement cities. The project activities will consist of installing gravity sewer mains to replace the operation of deteriorating lift stations at the targeted locations. These activities will benefit 144 people, of which 64% are low to moderate income. Since the project activities are located in the 100-year floodplain, the City is interested in discussing alternatives to this project, securing public perceptions of possible adverse impacts that could result from the project, and discussing possible measures to minimize any adverse impacts.
