ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Sealed proposals addressed to the Mayor and City Council of the City of Lockhart will be received at the Lockhart City Hall, 308 West San Antonio, Lockhart, Texas 78644, until 11:00 A.M., December 9, 2014 for the Hwy. 183 Utility Relocations Phase II – Water and Sewer, at which time and place will be publicly opened and read aloud. Any bid received after closing time will be returned unopened.

 

The project consists of installing approximately 3,400 L.F. of 18, 12” and 8” PVC Water Main, and 230 L.F. of 8” and 12” PVC Force Main and all necessary appurtenances.

 

Bidders shall submit with their bids a Cashier”s Check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the maximum total bid, payable to the City of Lockhart, Texas without recourse, or a Proposal Bond in the same amount from an approved Surety Company as a guarantee that Bidder will enter into a contract and execute performance and payment bonds on the forms provided, within ten (10) days after the award of Contract. Bids without check or Proposal Bond will not be considered.

 

The successful Bidder must furnish Performance and Payments Bonds each in the amount of 100% of the contract price from an approved Surety Company holding a permit from the State of Texas to act as Surety and acceptable according to the latest list of companies holding certificates of authority from the Secretary of Treasury of the United States, or other Surety or Sureties acceptable to the Owner.

 

Proposal forms, plans, and specifications may be obtained from TRC Engineers, Inc., 505 East Huntland Drive, Suite 250, Austin, Texas 78752, (512) 454-8716, in hard copy or CD in PDF upon receipt of payment of One Hundred ($100.00) Dollars. Please make checks or money orders, payable to TRC Engineers, Inc. PAYMENT IS NON-REFUNDABLE.

 

The City Council of the City of Lockhart reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive formalities. No bid may be withdrawn within sixty (60) days after the date on which bids are received.

Public Bid Notice

The City of Lockhart is accepting bids until 2 pm. Thursday, November 21, 2014, at City Hall, 308 W. San Antonio Street, Lockhart, TX, for annual maintenance mowing and weed-eating activities at the Lockhart Municipal Airport in specified areas. All bidders must posses a valid City of Lockhart contractor’s license and be bonded. Qualified bidders may obtain specifications packets at the Public Works Department, 705 Wichita St., during normal business hours. Bidders are encouraged to visit the site before submitting a bid. Mowing frequencies will vary based on weather conditions and needs.

 

Bids not received by the date and time as specified above will be rejected. The City of Lockhart retains the right to reject any and all bids.

CITY OF LOCKHART

PUBLIC BID FOR FUELS

The City of Lockhart is accepting annual supply bids for approximately 40,000 gallons of unleaded plus gasoline and 26,000 gallons of Nol. 2 dyed diesel fuel. A minimum of two-thousand five hundred (2,500) gallons would be ordered at any given time. The price of fuels may increase or decrease based on the weekly average Oil Price Information Service (OPIS) price published each Thursday from the Austin, Texas, Rack. The amount designated as the supplier’s profit margin per gallon must include delivery and must remain the same during the term of the contract. The contract term will be from one year from the date of approval by the City Council. Bid award may be separate for each fuel. Required forms for bid submittal are available from the Public Works Office at 705 Wichita Street during normal business hours.

 

Bids must be received by 2 pm, Wednesday, November 21, 2014 at City Hall, 308 W. San Antonio Street, Lockhart, Texas 78644. Bids not received by this time and date will be rejected. Bid envelopes should be externally marked to indicate “Fuel Bids”.

 

The City of Lockhart reserves the right to reject any and all fuel bids.
