Rex Anderson Ferguson, 100, of Lytton Springs, Texas, passed away on Nov. 23, 2008, in Lockhart, Texas. He was born on Oct. 4, 1908, in Lytton Springs, Texas, to Homer and Luella (Perry) Ferguson.
He was a longtime resident of Lytton Springs, Texas. Rex retired from ranching and teaching. He was a graduate of Texas State University in San Marcos, earning his bachelor

’s and master’s degrees. He held a teachers and principal position in the Del Valle, Luling, Dowdy, Andice and McMahan School Districts. He was a member of the Lytton Springs Baptist Church, serving as a Deacon for many years. Rex was also a member of the Lytton Springs Masonic Lodge No.487.
He is survived by his son, Carroll Ferguson and wife, Phyllis, of Georgetown; granddaughter, Gina Goldberg and husband, Barry; and two great-grandsons, David and Daniel Goldberg, of Weston, Conn.
Preceding him in death are his wife Violet Benold Ferguson; his parents, Homer and Luella Ferguson; and his brothers, Preston Ferguson, Dwight Ferguson and Garland Ferguson.
Memorial services were scheduled on Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2008, at 2 p.m. at the Lytton Springs Baptist Church, services will be officiated by Rev. Bob Griffith, with burial following at the Lytton Springs Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Robert Ferguson, Barry Goldberg, David Goldberg, Daniel Goldberg, Chester Guynes and Gerald Roberts.
