Richard William Staudt, 53, passed away in Bastrop, Texas, on Nov. 8, 2016.
He was born on Dec. 25, 1962, in Charleston, S.C., to Andrew Louis and Joyce Lynell (Perkins) Staudt.
The family came to Central Texas, where Mr. Staudt worked as a master mechanic for many years after leaving Bastrop High School to help his mother take care of his younger siblings, after the death of

their father.
Richard loved fast cars and loud music. He also loved working on cars, or anything else electrical, but above all, he loved his dog, Fez.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and by a nephew, Erik Staudt.
He is survived by his daughter, Tiena Kelton, of Palestine; son, Andrew Staudt, of Springtown; brothers, Mark, Michael and David Staudt; sisters, Cynthia Alex and Tonya Rogers; grandsons, Dakota and Cash; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. He is survived by many caring friends and other family members. He is also survived, of course, by his constant companion, and “fur-baby” Fez.
A memorial service will be held at Mineral Springs Baptist Church on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016, at 2 p.m. Burial will take place at a later time at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Rockne, Texas.
