J.V. softball dominates district rivals

Lady Lions vs. Connally

The Lady Lion junior varsity softball team defeated Pflugerville Connally, 10-1, on Friday, April 15.
The winning pitcher was Shelly Castro, who threw five complete innings giving up only two hits and striking out seven batters.
Offensively, the Lady Lions were unstoppable with singles from Erika Levario, Krista Law (two out of two

), Castro, and Camille Burrhus-Clay. Doubles came from Adrianna Parra and Cameron Stanley.
The Lady Lions are currently 6-1 in district and 8-2 overall. They will play their last home game to end their season on Friday, April 22, at 5:30 p.m. against Pflugerville Hendrickson.

Lady Lions vs. Del Valle

The Lady Lion junior varsity softball team defeated the Del Valle Lady Cardinals, 18-3, on Tuesday, April 11.
The winning pitcher was Adrianna Parra who gave up only three hits and struck out three Cardinal batters.
The Lady Lions were on fire batting around in the line-up for the majority of the game.
Big hits for Lockhart came from Jenee Burrhus-Clay with a double and two RBI”s, Courtney Lee with a double and an RBI, Parra was two for three with a double and a triple along with two RBI”s, Kayla Guenther was two-for-two with an RBI, Jaimie Ruiz added a single and two RBI”s, while Briana DeLeon had a single and three RBI”s.
