The Lockhart Athletic Club ended their strength and conditioning program with a celebration of sorts. LAC. participants were treated to a watermelon feast at the end of their last day of workouts.
Student athletes were delighted to have something cold and sweet at the end of the day and looked forward to ending their morning r

outine, if only for a short time.
Beginning on Aug. 4, Lockhart High School sophomores, juniors and seniors will begin two-a-day practices from Monday – Friday from 7 a.m. – 1 p.m. Freshmen will work out from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. on those days, until Aug. 15.
During the last week of summer break, Aug. 18 – 21, workouts will run from 4 – 7 p.m.
Early in the summer practice schedule, theLions will hold an inter-squad scrimmage, featuring the Varsity Lions against the JV Lions. The scrimmage will take place at Lion Field from 9 – 11:30 a.m. on Aug. 9.
The LAC  summer training program that ended last week began on June 2 and met every Monday – Thursday from 8 – 10 a.m.
LHS athletes looking for additional training time took advantage of the Open Weight Room hours from 5-8 p.m. Unfortunately, that program ended Thursday, July 24, leaving only a short time for athletes to enjoy their “vacation” before strapping on their cleats and pads and return to the gridiron for two-a-days.
See you at the scrimmage.
