Starr House Funk passed away on May 20, 2018
Starr was born on April 18, 1957 in Rome, NY to Ruth E House and Walter L House. Starr is survived by sister Peggy Hyde and husband Randy, sister Pam and partner Mike, brother Randy Case and wife Loretta of NY, niece Kimberly Hyde and husband Clint, nephew Danny House and wife Shannon, great nieces Sommer and Destiny, great nephew DJ, Devon, Luke and her good friend Glen Mayfield.
Starr moved to Texas in 1977 with her family. She had many careers in her life from working at schools and nursing homes and even a flag girl in a road crew in Wyoming. Starr loved helping people that were down on their luck. She also loved her family, friends and her pets. Additionally she was an avid Nascar fan. Everyone knew to never call her on race day or you would get an earful. Other loves of her life included plants, motorcycles and loud rock and roll. The kids would always say “here comes Aunt Starr” because of her loud music. She especially loved her dogs Lady, Hobo and Booger. She will be dearly missed. She was a true treasure to her family and friends.  Memorial services will be held at Lytton Springs Methodist Church on June 16, 2018 from 1-3 p.m.
