Take me out to the ballgame! Lockhart Little League swings into action on Saturday

Nothing says spring like baseball, and nothing is more true to the American pastime than dozens of youngsters taking the field to run the bases. On Saturday, Lockhart will come alive with its love of baseball as Lockhart Little League breaks open the spring season with a full day of Opening Day ceremonies.

ing around 8:30 a.m. for the Opening Day Parade, in which all of Lockhart’s Little League teams will line up. for the trek from San Antonio Street to the Lockhart Little League Complex on Carver Street for introductions, dedications and a day of baseball.

The parade begins at 8:45 a.m., and is expected to reach the Complex by 9:30 a.m.

A variety of special guests will participate in a 30 minute ceremony introducing Lockhart Little League’s board members, sponsors and community partners and then… let the games begin.
