Terry Jean Carmichael Fielder passed away suddenly on Nov. 9, 2014. Terry was born on Nov. 24, 1947 in Waco, Texas. Her family moved to Austin where she graduated from Austin High School in 1965. Terry was an avid Texas Longhorn fan, graduating from the University of Texas in 1970 with a BS in Education and earning her Masters in Education in 1984.

de for over 20 years in the Austin and Hays Consolidated School Districts before moving into administration. She retired in 2012 from the position of Director of Intervention Services in Hays Consolidated ISD.
Terry was an avid gardener. She enjoyed cooking, canning her vegetables, crossword puzzles, playing scrabble and watching the Red Sox and Longhorns.
Terry is survived by her husband of 30 years, James E. Fielder; her three step-daughters Patti Philippone and son-in-law, David, Jennifer Meiners and son-in-law, John Paul, and Cassie Mitchell and son-in-law, Greg; two grandsons Matthew and Kyle Mitchell; and two sisters Paula Gaudet and brother-in-law Frank, and Lisa Carmichael. She is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Jean Carmichael.
Visitation was held from 4 – 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2014, at McCurdy Funeral Home. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 14, 2014 at McCurdy Funeral Home in Lockhart, Texas. Burial will follow at the Lockhart City Cemetery.
