Gene New
Gene Raymond New, 73, of Alvin, Texas, passed away Sunday, May 20, 2012 at Clear Lake Regional Medical Center, in Webster, Texas.
Gene was born on Nov. 28, 1938, in Luling, Texas and was a resident of Alvin for 50 years. He was employed with the City of Houston for 31 years before he retired. He served in the United States Navy.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents,
Charles and Lillian New and his twin brother, Dean New.
Gene is survived by his wife, Doris New; daughters, Kellie Sustaita and husband, Tommy, and Kathy Oehlert and husband, Gary; sons, Charles New, Kenneth Anglin and wife, Vicky, and Terry New and wife, Cathy; 16 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, numerous other relatives and friends. Gene loved his family very much, he was everyone’s “PePaw.”
A memorial service was planned at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 23, 2012, at Scott Funeral Home. Arrangements under the direction of the Scott Family, 1421 East Hwy 6, Alvin, Texas 77511.
