Velma Jewel Wright Hunsucker, 90, of Lockhart passed away at her home on Jan. 21, 2006.
She was born on March 30, 1915 to George C. and Georgia T. Wright.
She lived her life with love and laughter, always finding something good in each and every day. She touched many lives during her stay on this earth and will always be thought of with love. She will be dearly m

issed.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, George Thomas Hunsucker; daughter Georgia Juanita Hunsucker Thompson; and grandson, Jon Hunsucker, the son of Lee and Nell Hunsucker.
She is survived by her four daughters, Joys Ann Hunsucker Record and husband Lewis of Houston, Sherry Hunsucker Ballenber and husband Tommie of Eunice, N.M., Patricia Hunsucker Leonard and Kay Hunsucker Brandl, both of Lockhart; two sons, Harry Thomas Hunsucker and wife Alice of Neiderwald and Lee Wayne Hunsucker and wife Nell of Amarillo; 11 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2006 at the Mobeetie Cemetery in Mobeetie, Texas, with Rev. Ricky Carstensen, pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Wheeler officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the SPCA or a local animal shelter.
