Mrs. Wanda Eeds, 91, passed away in San Marcos on Oct. 18, 2008. Wanda was born on May 22, 1917, to Julius R. and Lydia Dedeke Ploetz in Lockhart. She had worked at the First-Lockhart National Bank as a loan teller and the Lockhart State Bank before her retirement.

Wanda was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lockhart and a charter member of the H.

T. Rainey Post # 41 of the American Legion Auxiliary. She lived in Lockhart her entire life. Wanda will be remembered for her beautiful smile and great sense of humor.

Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Dean Eeds, the love of her life, in 1995.

She is survived by her two sons: Carroll Beirne Eeds, of Lockhart, and Walter Chapman Eeds, II, and wife, Jan, of Lago Vista; eight beautiful grandchildren: Kelle Balch, Leslie Estrada, Jason Eeds, Eric Eeds, Walter Chapman Eeds, III, and Lacee Eeds; and eight great-grandchildren.

A visitation was held at Eeds Funeral Home Chapel from 6 – 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 21, where family and friends were in attendance. Funeral Services were held Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2008, at the First Presbyterian Church in Lockhart, Texas with Rev. Dr. Terry Bozarth officiating. Burial followed at the Lockhart City Cemetery.

Serving as the pallbearers were her grandchildren.
