Rev. Wayne D. Osborn, 58, of Red Rock, passed away on March 8, 2005 in Bastrop County. He was born on February 18, 1947 in Bastrop, Texas to Lonnie L. and Winnie V. (Nite) Osborn. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Derwood Osborn. He is survived by his wife, Nancy L. Osborn of Red Rock; father and mother in-law, Rudolph and Marie Krueger of Lockhart; son,

Bobby W. Osborn and wife Misty of Lockhart; daughter, Becky Haddock and husband Kenneth of Lockhart; brother, Curtis Osborn and wife Carolyn of Red Rock; three grandchildren, Chelsea Osborn, Samuel Osborn and Bubba Osborn; and two step-grandchildren, Justin and Jason Haddock. Rev. Osborn was the pastor of The Gospel Lighthouse and traveled the world performing missionary work for the church. Visitation was held on Thursday, March 10 at McCurdy Funeral Home. Services were held at 2 p.m., Friday, March 11 at McCurdy Memorial Chapel. Interment followed at the Hendrix Cemetery in Bastrop County, Rev. Scott C. Stanek, officiated. Pallbearers were Joe Uballe, Clemente Verastegui, Kevin Cain, Bubba Dees, Paul Prestridge, Paul Armstrong and Jim Boatright. Memorials may be made in his name to: The Gospel Lighthouse Mission, 1024 State Park Rd., Lockhart, Texas 78644. Arrangements under the care of McCurdy Funeral Home, 105 E. Pecan, Lockhart.

    Wayne and Nancy were friends of my wife and me when we lived in Austin, TX. Look forward to seeing him again in Heaven.
