Wanda Lois Ainsworth
Wanda Lois Ainsworth passed away peacefully in Lockhart, Texas on Jan. 7, 2015 at the age of 80. She was born in Cave-In-Rock, Ill., (on her mother’s birthday), to Seldon Jenkins and Eskel Irene (Richardson) Ainsworth on Oct. 31, 1934. Her parents, and older brother James Richardson Ainsworth and his wife, Nola, have preceded her in death.
Wanda, a member of the Eastern St
ar, immersed herself in whatever she decided to do, especially if it involved music. She loved to dance and was proficient on the piano.
She worked as a bookkeeper and legal secretary. In her later years she researched and wrote an extensive family genealogy.
Wanda is survived by six children: Shelley Crider and husband, Trollis, Kimberly Olivares and husband, Armando, Vicki Barnerd and husband, Jack, Cynthia Koch and husband, Rich, Paul Worden and wife, Debra; and Blaine Davis and Shelley Bowen.
She is survived by 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren: Trollis Crider, Amy Liu and husband Shuai (son on the way), Kira and Mia Olivares, Mason, Emily and Karri Barnerd, Angela Jones and husband, Keith (daughter Isabelle), and Brittany, Taylor, Stacey and Tanner Koch.
She is also survived by her cousin, Rev. Bob Richardson and wife, Earlene; nephews, Robert Ainsworth and wife, Jill (children Jackson, Ryan, and Emily), and Michael Ainsworth; nieces, Jennifer Villano and husband, George (children Dustin, Kylie, and Cami); and Joy Kalke and husband, Tim (daughter Leilani).
A family memorial will be held at a later date.
Wanda was a beautiful lady. Lost touch with her but she will always be remembered fondly by myself and my family.
