Oland Thomas Moore, III

Oland Thomas (O.T.) Moore, III, 63, of Lockhart, passed away Monday, Sept. 11, 2006, at Chisolm Trail Nursing and Rehab Center. He was born on Jan. 15, 1943, in New Orleans, La., to Oland Thomas Moore, Jr. and Bonita (Blundell) Moore.
O.T. graduated from Lockhart High School in May of 1961. He attended the United States Naval Academy before returning to Baylor Universi

ty, where he received a BA in mathematics in May of 1965. After serving in the United States Navy, O.T. returned to Central Texas and resided near Rockdale until November 2005, when he returned to Lockhart.
O.T. was preceded in death by his parents, Oland Thomas Moore, Jr., on March 10, 1989 and Bonita Blundell Moore, on March 22, 2005.
He is survived by his brother, Fred Moore and his wife Laura of Lockhart; two nephews, Ben Moore of Austin and John Moore of Grand Prairie; one aunt, Frances Moore Duce of Lockhart; six cousins and their families, Linda Lentz Elmore and her husband John of Victoria, Joan Lentz Shipnes and her husband Stuart of Austin, Rosemary Kimbrough Hicks and her husband Wayne of Austin, Charles Kimbrough and his wife Elaine of Lockhart, Judy Duce Satterfield and her husband Roger of Lockhart, and Jack Duce and his wife Cathy of Houston.
Visitation will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 14, 2006, at McCurdy Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the McCurdy Memorial Chapel with Rev. Randall Frye and Rev. Brent Price officiating. Interment will follow in the Lockhart City Cemetery.
