Samuel Nunez, Sr.

Samuel “Hammer” Nunez, Sr., was born on Nov. 2, 1958, in Fentress, Texas, to Pablo Nunez and Janie Estrada. He was the first of seven children.
Sammy went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 31, 2015, at the age of 56, with his family by his side at his home in Fentress.
Sammy is survived by his wife, Valerie Nunez; his children: Raymond Nunez, Paul Nunez, Patricia Neely,

Philip Nunez and Samuel Nunez, Jr.; 14 grandchildren; brothers: Arturo, Cruz, Randy and Pete; and sisters: Mary, Paula and Bette.
Viewing was scheduled on Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2015, at Life Unlimited Church, 2301 S. Colorado, Lockhart, Texas, from 5 – 7 p.m., followed by a Celebration Service at 7 p.m.
On Wednesday, Aug. 5, visitation continued from 9 – 10 a.m., with a Celebration Service at 10 a.m., and burial immediately following at San Juan Cemetery in Prairie Lea, Texas.
