Monico Elijio “Lightning” Diaz, 78, of Austin, passed away surrounded by family on Tuesday, July 10.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sophie H. Diaz; children Lorine Zapata, Ramsey Zapata, Joseph V. Diaz and Ann De la Torre, all of Austin, Tony Diaz of Houston, Monica Ann Norman of Lockhart and Monico Diaz, Jr., of Longview; 22 grandchildren and 20 great-grandch

ildren.
