Austin songwriter Jenny Reynolds is the featured guest for this monthly series “exploring the art and craft of songwriting”. Now in its tenth season, it is free to the public, hosted by famed Texas songwriter Fletcher Clark. Join us on Tuesday, February 25 at 7 p.m. at the Eugene Clark Library.
“Work hard, be nice, keep moving,” Coming to Austin in 2003, she played Old Settlers Music Festival, Kerrville Folk Festival, Cactus Cafe, and Threadgill’s World Headquarters. An Official Showcase Artist at SXSW 2008 and 2018, she was named “Best New Local Act” in the Austin Chronicle’s 2005 Critics Poll. Joined on her recordings by some of Austin’s best (Ruthie Foster, Ian McLagan, Warren Hood, Scrappy Jud Newcomb, BettySoo), her latest is produced by Mark Hallman and Andre Moran at Congress House Studio in Austin for an early 2020 release. “A winning way with hook…,” said Paste Magazine. Rob Patterson said in Texas Music Magazine, “Aspiring troubadours migrating to Austin is often like coal to Newcastle, but Reynolds is a welcome gem.”
