Wesley G. Fogle
Graveside services for Mr. Wesley G. Fogle, 78, of Cameron, were held at 1p.m. on Friday, Dec. 31 in the Lockhart City Cemetery in Lockhart. He died on Tuesday, Dec. 28 in Rockdale after a lengthy illness.
Mr. Fogle was born Jan. 5, 1926 in Caldwell County, the youngest of six children born to Robert Lee and Mattie (Hermann) Fogle. He volunteered for the U.S. Navy duri
ng World War II and served aboard the USS Nerius for two years. After being discharged from the Navy, he worked for the Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for 37 years before retiring in 1985. He married Ruby New on Dec. 24, 1948. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, the Communication Workers of America and the Edwin Hardy Post #9 American Legion.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Ruby New Fogle of Cameron; one son, Glenn Fogle and wife Charlotte; one grandson, Wesley Fogle; and one granddaughter, Katherine Fogle, all of Pflugerville.
Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Cameron.
