Janice “Neecy” Parrish Seidel

Ruby Janice Seidel, affectionately known as “Neecy,” passed away on Jan. 28, 2009. She was born in Lockhart, Texas, to Charles Warner and Ruby Cassie (Burditt) Parrish on April 15, 1941. She was employed with the Texas Department of Safety, retiring in 2006, after many faithful years of service.

Neecy enjoyed traveling with her friends and loving family with whom

she shared numerous special trips. Neecy was a devoted and caring mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend whose memory will always remain in hearts.

Neecy was preceded in death by parents, Warner and Ruby Parrish; husband, Vernon Emil Seidel; her daughter, Beverly Pollard; and three brothers: Sonny, Billy and Bobby Parrish.

Neecy is survived by her sons: Todd Seidel and wife, Valerie, and Scott Seidel and wife, Stephanie; daughter, Tiffany Forshay and husband, Scott; 11 beloved grandchildren; siblings: Lynn Parrish and wife, Patsy, Betty Jo Whitley and husband, Jack, and Charles Parrish and wife, Betty; and well as many extended special family members and loved ones.

Services were held at Colonial Chapel of Cook-Walden Funeral Home on Saturday, Jan. 31, 2009. Interment following at Cook- Walden Hill Cemetery.
