Maxine Alex

Maxine Alex, 91, passed away Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009, in Lockhart, Texas. She was born on April 13, 1918, to Thomas Jefferson Miles and Valverde Hanson Miles in Caldwell County, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her husband Roman Alex, her parents and her two brothers: Hollis and Kermit Miles.

Mrs. Alex is survived by her son Thomas Carl Alex and wife Betty,

daughter Christi Morris and husband Fred, four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Alex was an active member of First Lockhart Baptist Church and enjoyed doing hand crafts.

Family planned to accept friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2009, at McCurdy Funeral Home in Lockhart. Funeral services were scheduled to be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 17, 2009, at McCurdy Memorial Chapel with Rev. Gary Rodgers officiating. Interment will follow at Clearfork Cemetery in Brownsboro, Texas.
