Romalda Juarez Rodriguez

Romalda J. Rodriguez , 83, passed away Monday, Oct. 19, 2009 at the Central Texas Medical Center in San Marcos. She was born on Feb. 7, 1926, in Caldwell County near Lockhart to Mr. and Mrs. Eduardo Juarez.

Romalda spent her whole life in the Lockhart area, where she was home maker and mother to her children. She was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church and th

e VFW Auxiliary in Lockhart.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Jose R. Rodriguez and son Angel “Mike” Rodriguez.

She is survived by her sons: Blas Rodriguez, John Rodriguez, Jose “Slap” Rodriguez and wife, Cindy, Pedro “Pete” Rodriguez and wife, Margie; daughter, Yolanda Rodriguez Cardenas; daughter-in-law Lucia (Angel) Rodriguez; 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by two brothers, Milton Juarez and Alcario Juarez, and sister Eleanor Juarez and several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

The Family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 23 with the Recitation of the Rosary at 7 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lockhart. Interment will be at the St Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
