Julia Calderon

After a bout with acute Leukemia, Julia Calderon expired on May 5, 2010. Julia was 89 years of age born on April 12, 1921.

Julia was preceded in death by her mother, Maria Calderon; father, Gerardo Calderon; and her sisters: Francisca Alvarado, Senorina Benavides, and Braulia Castilleja.
She is survived by her nieces and nephews: Martin Benavides, Eusebio Alv

arado, Pete Alvarado, Dominga Dominguez, Gerardo Alvarado, Janie Aranda, David Alvarado, Josie Moriada, Frank Castilleja, Dominga Salinas and Placida Cardenas.

Family received friends from 6 – 8 p.m. on Monday, May 10, 2010, at McCurdy Funeral Home. Rosary was held on Monday, May 10, 2010, at 7 p.m. at McCurdy Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Tuesday, May 11, 2010, at 10a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lockhart, Texas. Burial followed at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Lockhart, Texas.
