Jean Frohock

October 21, 1936-March 5, 2025

Jean Frohock was born in the mountains of West Virginia.  Her life was anything but ordinary.  She traveled, she loved her family, and she loved the view from her kitchen window.

Jean Jarret McVey Frohock, a resident of Lockhart, quietly passed at home on March 5, 2025, at the age of 88.  Jean was born on October 21, 1936, to Helen Massey McVey and Joseph Alexander McVey.

She had many roles in her 88 years, but the role she cherished the most was that of Grandma to her 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandkids.  She was the matriarch of the Texas Frohocks and had enough love, and more, for all of us. 

Jean is proceeded in death by her husband Don, her parents, eldest son William Frohock, eldest daughter Carol Jean Fong, and her sister Kitty Pennington.

She is survived by four of her children: JoEllen Frohock and her husband Casey Williams of Pflugerville, Donann Frohock of Oregon, Don Lee Frohock Jr and his wife Laura of Lockhart, and Paula Sames and her husband Russell of San Marcos, sister Mary Johnson, sister Laura Dryer, and sister Susan McVey. 

 A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2025 at 10AM, at McCurdy Funeral Home in Lockhart, Texas.
