March 8, 1938 – October 3, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Mom has passed away.

Betty Jeanine Keplar was born March 8, 1938, to Buster and Stacey Vickers in Alexander City, Alabama.  Jeanine was called to Heaven on October 3, 2026, where she joins her beloved husband, Vince Keplar, whom she has missed deeply since his passing in 2011.  She was also preceded in death by her parents, her brother Clay Vickers, sisters-in-law Shirley Vickers and Vicki Hintz, Grandson Charles William Keplar, and great-grandson Landon Edward Seidel.

Jeanine is survived by her sons Chuck (Shellie) Keplar and Bill (Melissa) Keplar of Lockhart, TX, her brothers Bruce Vickers and Ray Vickers of FL, granddaughters Maggi Lightsey, Mikael Ann Seidel (Michael), and Kari Bruner, as well as 10 great-grandchildren Micah Eugene Keplar, Lyric and Treu Williams, Stephen and Wyatt Lightsey, Cooper, Madison Lynn, Emma Grace, Jackson and Sawyer Seidel, along with several nieces and nephews.  She was a loving wife and mother and a great friend to so many more.

We mourn her passing and will miss her deeply, but at the same time we celebrate the incredible life she lived and the effect she had on so many lives.

For a little girl from Alabama, she literally traveled the world with her husband and her two sons, was a talented artist, seamstress, interior decorator, and oh so much more.

Everywhere she went, until the day she passed, she made friends who will never forget her beautiful smile, her laugh, or her kind and gentle way of making you feel comfortable and loved.

Mom was a special person, a loving soul who touched so many others throughout her life, one of a kind, and she will be missed.

We’ll take it from here, Mom. Rest in Peace now; you’ve earned it.
