Bertha Mae Bennett
Bertha Mae Bennett was born on March 29, 1920, in Caldwell County, Texas. She was the first of 14 children born to Beatrice Johnson Carter and Willie Carter.
Bertha was a person that was sure of herself and lived her life the way she wanted to live, not concerned with the influences of others and of the world. She enjoyed working in her garden, keeping life simple, fellowshi
pping with others, and serving the Lord. Bertha Mae Bennett will truly be missed by her loved ones.
Services will be held on July 23, 2011, at 11 a.m. in the St. John Regular Baptist Church, 110 Saint Johns Rd, Dale, Texas.

She was truely a woman that was sure of herself and lived her life the way she wanted to live, not concerned with the influences of others and of the world. I remember when we ( my grandmother Elnora Eckford bka (Honey) would go pecan picking. We really enjoyed ourselves down at the bottom.
